MassBioEd's 4th Annual Life Sciences Workforce Conference

When: May 23, 2019, 8:30 am - 3:45 pm
Where: Northeastern University Interdisciplinary Science & Engineering Complex, 805 Columbus Ave

On May 23rd, MassBioEd will host its 4th Annual Life Sciences Workforce Conference. This event will bring hiring managers and HR professionals from the industry together with faculty from academia who are educating the next generation of innovators.

It’s predicted that by 2023 there will be 12,000 jobs that need to be filled. Life sciences companies in Massachusetts are hiring like never before, but amid an evolving work landscape, they are having difficulty leveraging current talent and recruiting for new, complementary abilities.

This event will provide an avenue for industry experts to come together and spark conversation around what companies seek in hiring, what skills are in highest demand, and how educators can best develop curriculum. Session topics will include: preparation for careers in bioinformatics, how immigration impacts the life sciences talent pool, how to recruit for and foster development of the soft skills necessary to success, and more.

Registration is $25 for MassBio Members and $50 for Non-Members. For more information or assistance, email Megan Schulz, Manager Corporate Engagement, MassBioEd.
