Saving Patient Lives: The Role of Biomanufacturing and Bioanalytics

When: September 10, 2019, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Where: Northeastern University, Innovation Campus at Burlington, MA, 147 S. Bedford Street, Burlington, MA

Please join us for a symposium featuring speakers from NIBRT and Northeastern to celebrate our institutions’ alliance. Speakers will address how their research is addressing industry challenges.

Saving Patient Lives: The Role of Biomanufacturing and Bioanalytics You are cordially invited to attend the inaugural symposium celebrating the alliance between Northeastern University’s Biopharmaceutical Analysis Training Laboratory (BATL) and Barnett Institute of Chemical and Biological Analysis, and the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT). Both BATL and the Barnett Institute are widely known as centers of excellence in bioanalytical chemistry research and training. NIBRT is internationally recognized for its excellence in training and biopharmaceutical manufacturing research. On September 10th, we will celebrate the alliance between both Institutions, and hear scientists from both organizations present current research on how they are addressing key challenges facing biopharmaceutical manufacture and characterization to safely & effectively bring medicines to patients. Presenters from the Barnett Institute will include Profs. Jared Auclair, Alexander Ivanov, Jeffrey Agar and Nikolai Slavov. They will discuss topics such as regulatory convergence, mass spectrometry analysis for disease, separation technologies and single-cell analysis. NIBRT speakers will include Profs. Niall Barron, Jonathan Bones and Colin Clarke, who will discuss the application of omics technologies and cell line engineering to drive efficiency in bioprocessing, application of native mass spectrometry for biopharmaceutical and bioprocess characterization and systems biology and data analytics to drive efficiency. The symposium will be held at Northeastern University’s recently opened Building 5 on the Innovation Campus in Burlington, Massachusetts. Advanced registration is recommended as space is limited. We look forward to seeing you there.
