This panel brings together Bioversity and Year Up, two organizations at the forefront of workforce development, to discuss their collaborative efforts in training and placing underrepresented talent into meaningful roles. Bioversity, a MassBio initiative, offers free, stipend-supported, 8-week certificate programs in Boston and Lowell, equipping individuals with the technical and professional skills needed for entry-level positions in scientific operations and manufacturing. Year Up complements this by providing young adults with the skills, experience, and support to reach their potential through internships and full-time employment opportunities. Together, these organizations are transforming the life sciences workforce landscape by breaking down barriers and building sustainable career pathways.
