2023 Boston State of Diabetes

The State of Diabetes: Boston is an annual event that tackles where we are in the state of diabetes, right here, right now. During the community day of access and education event, we will focus on providing free diabetes screenings, diabetes resources, and raising the level of consciousness around health equity for the nearly one out of two Americans with diabetes or prediabetes.

Health inequity contributes to worse health outcomes and a higher risk for diabetes and many other diseases, undermining the wellbeing of our most underserved communities. The State of Diabetes event will focus on the experience of people with diabetes and their experiences related to diabetes management, prevention, and overall health and wellness.

The American Diabetes Association® will bring together industry leaders, health care providers, and innovators on a public panel to explore and address health inequity and inspire solutions and resources to engage the community.

Following the panel, we will also host a Day of Access (open to community members) to receive FREE health screenings and resources, including blood pressure, A1C, foot health, and oral health checks.
