From the Bench to Beyond: Celebrating Life Sciences Talent

Recently, the MLSC team joined partners and colleagues from throughout the ecosystem for From the Bench to Beyond: Celebrating Life Sciences Talent, an end-of-year gathering co-hosted with our partners at the Life Sciences Career Alliance recognizing graduates from training organizations across Massachusetts who are shaping the future of the Commonwealth’s life sciences community.

The evening brought together alumni, employers, and industry leaders to celebrate accomplishments, foster connections, and highlight the workforce development programs strengthening Massachusetts’ life sciences talent pipeline. Remarks were shared by Zenobia Moochhala, Undersecretary of Business Strategies at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Economic Development, Joseph Le, Chief of Staff of Worker Empowerment for City of Boston, Jeanne LeClair, Chief Business Officer of the MLSC, and Mae Tobin-Hochstadt, Co-Founder of the Life Sciences Career Alliance. Reflections of their training experience were made by Bioversity’s Josiah Wade and Harvard MEDscience’s alumni Tiana Nhem.

Through initiatives such as the Pathmaker program, the MLSC funds industry-aligned training programs that address critical skills and talent supply gaps and connects skilled, diverse workers with life science career opportunities in Massachusetts.

The MLSC is grateful to our partners at the Life Sciences Career Alliance, our speakers, and everyone who joined us in celebrating life sciences talent and the career pathways that support continued growth and opportunity across the Commonwealth.
