The MLSC and Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT) recently hosted the inaugural Life Sciences Talent Showcase, convening colleges and nonprofit training organizations from across Boston to strengthen connections between emerging life sciences programs and employers in the region.
The event featured opening remarks from Senator Liz Miranda, the MLSC’s Outgoing President & CEO Kirk Taylor, MD, and WIT’s President Mark Thompson, highlighting the collaborative environment that has made Massachusetts a global life sciences leader.
Attendees also participated in a panel discussion led by Massachusetts Executive Office of Economic Development (EOED) Undersecretary Zenobia Moochhala on preparing the next generation of life sciences talent and the collective role of industry, academia, and government in building a strong workforce pipeline.
The event concluded with a showcase of life sciences education and training programs, a networking session where attendees had the opportunity to meet participating institutions, and a tour of the WIT labs funded by MLSC, creating opportunities for faculty, industry leaders, and ecosystem partners to connect, share ideas, and explore future collaborations.
The MLSC is appreciative to our partners at WIT and all participating institutions and attendees for making this event a great success.
