The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC) is excited to announce the release of our Fiscal Year 2025 Annual Report, which highlights the Center’s continued investments in scientific innovation, workforce development, and economic growth across the Commonwealth’s life sciences ecosystem.
This report looks back on a year of significant progress, including the third reauthorization of the Commonwealth’s Life Sciences Initiative through the Healey-Driscoll Administration’s Mass Leads Act, made possible with the strong support of our legislative partners, and the launch of MLSC 3.0, our strategic framework for the next decade. Built around the four core themes of Infrastructure and Competitiveness, Geographic Expansion, Equity and Access, and AI for Life Sciences, MLSC 3.0 will guide our investments and reinforce Massachusetts’ position as the international hub for life sciences.
In alignment with this strategy, we have begun to expand and evolve our programming to meet the evolving needs of the industry. New and improved funding initiatives are supporting collaborative health innovation projects that bring together partners across industry and academia, while also broadening pathways for startups and entrepreneurs to access pivotal resources and scale their ideas. Additionally, we are strengthening our education and workforce efforts through investments in the infrastructure, equipment, and training needed to prepare the next generation of life sciences talent, while continuing to provide incentives that encourage companies to locate, grow, and create new jobs in Massachusetts.
