Bio-tech company Shire is expanding its presence in Massachusetts, and bringing hundreds of jobs to the state. The 500 jobs are being moved from Pennsylvania, said Angus McQuilken, Vice President at the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center.
Angus also discussed the newly announced collaboration between the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center and The Center for the Advancement of Science in Space. Additionally, the launch of the Milestone Assistance Program will provide grant funding to promising young life sciences companies, he said.
