The MLSC is proud to highlight Donald Ingber, M.D., Ph.D., who received a $1.3 million award through our Research Infrastructure program to establish a next-generation analytical platform for metabolomics and lipidomics at the Wyss Institute at Harvard University.
The platform will provide the Massachusetts life sciences community with access to advanced technology for analyzing small molecules and lipids that influence cellular function and disease. Combining the state’s first Waters Corporation Xevo MRT mass spectrometer with innovative analytical and AI-powered tools, the platform will generate actionable insights that accelerate the development of targeted therapeutics and diagnostics.
The MLSC’s funding will support the permanent installation and public availability of this resource at the Wyss Institute, expanding access for academic and industry researchers across the Commonwealth and enabling advancements in biomarker discovery, drug development, and translational research.

This award builds on more than $3.1 million previously invested in the Wyss Institute through the MLSC’s funding programs, helping advance groundbreaking research and engineering innovations that transform medicine and improve human health.
