This September, the MLSC is proud to join the Office of Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey in celebrating Workforce Development Month!
The MLSC is proud to invest in the next generation of life sciences talent. By helping develop, enhance, and expand education programs serving learners from elementary school through post-secondary education, the MLSC ensures Massachusetts has a robust, diverse, and sustainable life sciences workforce pipeline.
To date, the MLSC has invested more than $240 million in education and workforce development infrastructure and initiatives, supporting 478 public schools, 36 nonprofit organizations, and over 60 colleges and training providers across every Massachusetts county and all 26 Gateway Cities. These investments have helped expand access to hands-on learning opportunities, state-of-the-art training facilities, and workforce development programs that prepare students for careers in the life sciences industry.
Building on this legacy, the MLSC recently announced $12.3 million in new funding through its Education and Workforce Development Grant program, reaffirming our commitment to strengthening the talent pipeline that will drive future innovation and breakthrough discoveries to improve human health.
