In Massachusetts, our academic institutions continue to produce top talent through extensive and rigorous training, creating the perfect pipeline for industry. UMass Boston and their students are no exception. Recently, the MLSC team met with UMass Boston leadership for a tour of their cutting-edge facilities and to disucss the continued growth of the Commonwealth’s life sciences industry.
This year, the MLSC awarded $1,286,771 in two post-secondary capital grants that will support UMass Boston’s Biology and Biochemistry labs and the Venture Development Center at UMass Boston experiential learning initiative designed to develop career-ready AI and machine learning professionals for the life sciences.
UMass Boston has received over $16.5 million in funding from numerous MLSC programs including Bits to Bytes, Novel Therapeutics Delivery, and grants for state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure that will support the life sciences in Massachusetts.
