University of Massachusetts chancellors say life sciences funding is a ‘lynchpin and a lifeline’

With more and more students studying in life sciences fields, chancellors in the University of Massachusetts system are telling state legislators they need the funding to compete for talented students and then keep them in Massachusetts after graduation.

That’s why the chancellors gathered to show “unified support” of a bill that will continue state investments in the life sciences in front of members of the Joint Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies on Thursday.
