MLSC Joins Healey Administration in Welcoming Denmark Delegation to Massachusetts

MLSC President and CEO Dr. Kirk Taylor recently joined Governor Maura Healey, Economic Development Secretary Eric Paley, Undersecretary of Business Strategies Zenobia Moochhala, and leaders from across the Commonwealth in welcoming a delegation from Denmark to Massachusetts to strengthen collaboration in life sciences, health care, biomanufacturing, advanced manufacturing, robotics, and artificial intelligence.

During the visit, Governor Healey and Denmark’s Ambassador to the United States, Jesper Møller Sørensen, signed a new economic partnership agreement formalizing a shared commitment to advancing research, fostering business cooperation, and accelerating the development of cutting-edge technologies between the two regions.

Massachusetts and Denmark have longstanding economic ties, particularly within the life sciences sector. Massachusetts primarily exports medical devices, organic chemicals and industrial machinery, and imports pharmaceutical products, industrial machinery and medical devices.

The new agreement builds on these strong connections and will expand opportunities for collaboration across the two globally recognized innovation hubs. Massachusetts maintains similar economic partnerships with numerous countries and regional governments around the world.
