MLSC On Location in Marlborough
On February 22, we were pleased to take part in a regional networking event hosted by Sunovion Pharmacueticals and the 495 Partnership. Preceded by Bob Coughlin of MassBio, Paul Matthews of the 495 Partnership, and local representatives, Travis provided the keynote address explaining the deliberate work the Center will be doing to help grow the life sciences industry not just in Marlborough, but throughout the Metrowest region as a whole.
“We’ll be more intentional in our support for #metrowest region of #MA” – #MLSC CEO Travis McCready w/ @495MWPtnership & @Sunovion

Of course, the MLSC’s focus isn’t just on one region, whether it’s the Boston/Cambridge area, or Metrowest. Travis’s remarks also made mention of the fact that making sure the entire state benefits from the work of the MLSC.

Afterwards, speaking with the various companies and local officials in attendance, we learned of the excitement in the region surrounding the life sciences. Mayor Arthur Vigeant spoke with us about developing the industry and what his office can do to help. We also spoke with Web Industries both about their work and the upcoming ribbon cutting that we’ll be participating in in April.
The event was a great success and we look forward to further developing our relationships with individuals and organizations in the Metrowest region.
